concert review
this show was great, it wasn't too crowded and i had a great view. it was these two black guys on the corner of 16th and walnut street. the one guy played french horn and the other guy played drums on a bunch of pots and pans. he had all the best pans-cooking pans, baking pans, even those little pans they use in salad bars. and he played them like a wildman! there was no cover charge, but they were taking donations in a dirty hat. they played a few numbers-none that i recognized, but they had a tight jazzy sound with enough pot and pan drumming to satisfy even the most hardcore pot and pan drumming enthusiast. there was no encore, as the cops were telling them to "move it along". still they have a fresh sound and i think they can only get better, so if they come to a street corner near you, stop walking for a second and check them out.
