restaurant review

i haven't had the pleasure of dining there in several months, but if you find yourself for some reason on rt 36 in union beach new jersey, be sure to check out jim's burger haven, or as the locals call it-big jim's.

this place has a very large vintage sign welcoming you inside, as well as ample parking. once inside, you are magically teleported back to the 1970s! nothing has changed-the booths, decor, menu and staff are probably exactly the same! you will see ripped apart vinyl booths no longer attached to their frames, outdated broken arcade games, even blurry, unappetizing pictures of food on the menu, courtesy of some long-dead wedding photographer.

the staff is friendly and helpful, but are not above arguing with the occasional customer. all in good fun!

the best part- low low prices! its as if inflation never happened! if you're looking to feed a bunch of scrappy kids on unhealthy food for not a lot of money, you need to check this place out.

you can thank me later.
